Wallet
The Wallet is where you hold your assets and where you move them. It is the screen UNIT opens on, and every way of getting value in or out of your account starts here.
Chapter Overview
Think of the Wallet as your asset command centre. It answers three questions — what do you hold, what is it worth, and what can you do with it — and it launches every action that moves value.
Those actions fall into three groups. Moving value inside UNIT: sending to a person, a Token Bank or a Token Treasury, and receiving through your own identity. Moving value in and out: depositing an asset you hold on another blockchain, withdrawing to an external address, and buying with a card. Doing more with what you hold: giving an asset as a claimable gift, and confirming staking actions.
The Wallet holds your balances and starts these actions; it does not keep your transaction record. That belongs to History, and your identity — the handle everything is addressed to — belongs to your Profile.
How UNIT thinks about assets
Two ideas are worth having before you start, because they explain a lot of what you will see:
- You are your address
- Inside UNIT you send to a handle, not to a string of characters. There is one identity, one QR code and one link, for every asset you hold.
- External assets are wrapped
- An asset brought in from another blockchain is held as its UNIT equivalent, marked with a U: BTC becomes BTCU, ETH becomes ETHU. It can be withdrawn back to its own chain later.

Common Workflows
Pay someone on UNIT
Open Send, choose User, search for their handle, pick the asset and amount, review and confirm. You never need an address.
Get paid
Open Receive and share your link or QR code. Whoever uses it lands on Send with you already filled in as the recipient.
Bring in crypto you already own
Open Deposit, choose the asset and the network it is on, and generate an address. Send the exact amount from your external wallet, then follow the deposit record to completion. You are credited with the wrapped equivalent.
Move crypto back out
Add and verify your destination address in Digital Assets first. Then open Withdraw, choose the asset, pick the verified address, enter the amount, review the fee, and confirm. Confirming creates a withdrawal request: an authorised Settlement Provider sends the native asset and UNIT verifies it before the withdrawal completes. Follow it on the withdrawal record.
Buy your first asset
Open Buy, choose the asset, the payment method and the amount, and review the provider's fees before committing. Complete payment on the buy order and the asset is delivered to your wallet.
Give someone an asset as a gift
Open Gift, choose an asset and amount, add a theme and a message, then share the link or QR code. The recipient claims it; anything unclaimed can be refunded to you.
Put an asset to work
Start on the token's Earn screen, where rates and positions are shown. The Wallet's Earn screen is where you confirm the action.
