Profile

Your profile is your identity on UNIT — the handle everything is addressed to, and the page other members see when they come across you.

Chapter Overview

Almost everything else in this guide points here eventually. Send resolves a handle. Receive shares one. Creator stamps one on every token you make. Launches records one against every contribution. That handle is set here.

Profile has four tabs

Profile is a container. It gathers four things, and three of them have chapters of their own:

Two views of the same thing

Your identity: The private, editable side: what your handle is, what your profile says, and who can see it.
Your public profile: The outward side: what a stranger sees, including what you have built and what it costs to connect with you.

Common Workflows

Set yourself up

Open Identity, check your handle, then fill in the public profile — name, website, bio, goals. Decide whether you want to be discoverable and publicly viewable.

Check how you come across

Open your public profile. It states that it shows exactly what others see, so it is the reliable check before sharing your address.

Share your profile

Give out unit.network/u/<your handle>. Browsing is free; a connection request costs the other person 1 UNITCOIN.
