Earn
Overview
Earning happens on a token's own Earn screen, where you can see the rate, your position and what you have to claim. This screen in the Wallet is the confirmation step: it states exactly what is about to happen and asks you to approve it.
That is why it is short. Everything it needs — the token, the amount and the action — was decided before you arrived, so this screen exists to let you check and confirm rather than to set anything up.
An illustration of this screen will be added in a later revision of the guide. The explanation below describes the screen as it is used.
What You Can See
- Action heading
- Names what you are confirming — staking, unstaking or claiming rewards.
- Token
- The asset the action applies to.
- Amount
- How much is involved, carried over from where you started.
- Action
- The action itself, stated plainly so there is no ambiguity about what confirming will do.
- Confirm button
- Labelled with the action. Selecting it signs and submits.
- Back
- Returns you without confirming.
Before You Begin
- Start from the token's Earn screen. This screen is reached by beginning an action there, not by opening it directly.
- The decision itself — which token, which action, and how much — belongs to the Earn screen.
How to Use This Screen
- Start the action from the token's Earn screen — staking, unstaking, or claiming rewards.
- Check the Token shown is the one you intended.
- Check the Amount matches what you entered.
- Check the Action is the one you meant — staking and unstaking move value in opposite directions.
- Select the confirm button to sign and submit the action.
- Select Back instead if anything is not as you expect, and correct it on the Earn screen.
What Happens Next
Confirming submits the action. Staking moves value from your available balance into your staked balance; unstaking begins the return journey; claiming credits your rewards.
The result appears in the Available and Staked figures on the Wallet Overview, and the action is recorded in History. Your position, rates and release schedule remain on the token's Earn screens.
Tips
- Read the action line before confirming. It is the one place that states plainly whether you are staking or unstaking.
- Staked value leaves your available balance. Keep enough available for the fees on anything else you plan to do.
- Unstaking is not always immediate — the token's Earn screens show the release schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Why does this screen not show rates or my position?
- Because that is the token's Earn screen's job. This screen confirms a single action.
- Where do I start staking?
- On the token's Earn screen. Open the asset from your wallet, or go to the token directly.
- Does staked value still count as mine?
- Yes. It appears in your total on the Wallet Overview, shown separately as Staked.
- Can I unstake at any time?
- Unstaking is started the same way, and the token's Earn screens show when the value is released.
Troubleshooting
- The token and amount are empty
- The screen was opened on its own rather than from a token's Earn screen. Go to Earn for the token you want and start the action there.
- The confirm button does nothing
- Confirming needs a token and an amount. If either is missing, return to the token's Earn screen and start again.
- My staked balance has not changed
- Check History to confirm the action was submitted. Staking actions settle on the network and are not always instant.
