Treasury
A treasury is the pool of assets held behind a token. This chapter covers reading one, redeeming against it, and following everything that has moved through it.
Chapter Overview
Every token on UNIT has a treasury, and every treasury is public. That is the part worth absorbing: you can open any token — one you hold, one you are considering, one you have never heard of — and read exactly what stands behind it.

The idea behind redemption
A treasury is not decoration. Holders can redeem: give back tokens, receive a share of the reserve. That is what connects the reserve to the token's worth, and it is why the redemption screen shows a backing value per token — the reserve divided across the supply.
Two directions of holding
The overview shows both what a treasury holds and which other treasuries hold it. The second is a measure of standing — a token other economies have chosen to back themselves with.

Common Workflows
Assess a token before buying it
Open its treasury, read Reserve Value, then look at what that value is made of. Check History to see whether the reserve was funded deliberately or accumulated from trading.
Redeem tokens for reserve assets
On Redeem, choose which reserve asset you want back and how much to redeem, read the backing value, review, and sign. It cannot be reversed.
Compare redeeming with selling
Read the backing value on Redeem and the market price on Acquire. They are two different ways out, at two different prices.
